Formula 1 Night Race Singapore & Concerts

Aloha!
It have been a long time since I freaking blogged. Wow. Okay, the last post was posted on Feb 2014 and now it's already almost the end of October? That's fast. Just to update some interesting or should I say first-time experiences I had recently. Firstly, would be Formula 1 Night Race in Singapore. Secondly would be The Colour Run 2014. Lastly, hmm let me think... my shocking GPA results? Haha. Oops!

DAY ONE

Okay, firstly, I would like to thank my manager for giving us the three-day passes to F1! Which was on 19, 20 and 21 October! :) Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Honestly, way back during the June holidays, I was kinda curious who would be performing for the concert since I have never went for F1 before. If it were be like Jessie J or Jason Derulo I will definitely go even if I had to pay for the tickets. But since the tickets were free at the end, why not? Haha. And the last day was JLO! OMG. Before I start spazzing over JLO, I will share about some acts I have participated.

On the first night, I met Jo and decided to explore around all the four zones, which spread from the area near the Singapore Flyer till Padang, City-hall. It was fun and confusing at the same time actually. We met at around 4:30pm and the crowd was about 60% packed? I guess :x So we decided to head to the flyer for our dinner and stay in for some air-conditioned environment. Hehe. Met some colleagues for dinner and chatted for awhile? Yeah. So after dinner, we headed to explore zone 1. Oh yeah! While walking around, we were being interviewed by some MTV Vietnam channel. Hahah. Funny to the max! It was the so-called first time on air without any preparations. Just imagine yourself with a blur face on screen. That's funny... Took some photos with the standees.

In the evening, we grab coldstones and went up the Singapore Flyer. Woohooo.

At around 10pm, we rushed from zone 1 to zone 4 to catch Mayday's concert, held at Padang :) . (Just to add on, the distance from zone 1 to 4 wasn't very near. By walking quickly, it already took us like about 15 minutes? Haha. Yeah. Imagine we're like participating a marathon. Just kidding.) Hopefully you guys know who are they. Haha! They're one of the boy-bands from Taiwan. I used to listen to their song every single day when I was in primary school. How long was that... eh 7 years back? That's long. Wow. It was the first time I have listen to them singing live! Ah Xing's voice is good! ( He's the main vocalist of the group) Throughout the whole concert, everyone sang along with all their popular mandarin hits and lasted around 2 and a half hours if I'm not wrong. Who cares about the duration of concerts? Nobody would even wants it end. ;)

DAY TWO

It was a Saturday and that means I have training in the morning. Oh, did I mention that I've join canoe polo as my CCA? If i didn't, I think I'll talk about the other day. Anyway, on the 20 of October,  I met Elton and went for the second day of the Night Race. We explore more of the zone 4 instead and each of us managed to get the complimentary tattoos! Yay! However, we had to queue like about an hour for them. Nothing much happened as there ain't  any interesting singers performing on that day. Sorry Robbie Williams :( It rained very heavily that night.

DAY THREE

Which means... JLO! JLO gonna be performing for the closing of the Night Race Event. Sadly, we didn't go for John Legend's one. Met Jo (again, who's also a JLO fan. Yay!) right after my training (again. Even on a Sunday. Sad) to queue for her concert at around 5pm? When the concert starts at 10pm. Hehe! Saw quite a number of her overseas fans queuing up at the fanzone even before we went in. So me and Jo decided to went back to City Link to grab something to eat first as the food stalls are expensive in the zones. Guess what we got? We headed to some shop that was something like Toast Box for our dinner. After that, we went back to the fanzone and started to rot till 8 pm whereby the race started. We watched the race with the rest of the crowd. It was kinda fun as we cheered on for the drivers ( even though they can't hear) together. The crowd was amazing! Most of them were tourists and that made me and Jo alittle awkward. But who cares! :) Waiting and waiting. Finally it was the last few laps 59/61. Vettel began to overtake Hamilton and the excitement started. Overall, Hamilton won the race! Then... finally after hours of waiting, it was JLO's turn to perform! BAAAM. Music started to play and lights began to flash non-stop and the concert had begun! Yes! And we managed to squeeze through everyone and stand like about 2-3 metres away from the stage? Oh, not to forget, it was the first time Jo went for a concert. Haha! Funny! The every first song that she sang was 'First Love' which is her lastest track other than 'Booty'. Overall the performance was great! Bucklist for watching JLO's performance live and upclose, CHECKED!
So for 2015, who's next? :)
